On July 20, 2026, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between the School of Mechanical Engineering of Nanjing University of Industry Technology and Nanjing Enigma Automation Co., Ltd., along with the unveiling ceremony for the base, was successfully held at the Industrial Center of the Xianlin Campus of Nanjing University of Industry Technology. Representatives from ENIGMA, including Vice General Manager Chi Kemeng and Human Resources and Administration Manager Wang Chao, as well as Ma Chenbo, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Nanjing University of Industry Technology, Liu Yinghui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Yu Wangwang, Vice Dean, and key teachers Chen Yong and Zhang Tao, attended the event. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Yinghui.

During the meeting, Vice President Ma Chenbo stated that Nanjing University of Industry Technology, as the first public vocational undergraduate institution in China, has long focused on the development of equipment manufacturing majors and has always adhered to the integration of industry and education and collaborative talent cultivation between industry and enterprises. As a leader in the field of vocational undergraduate education, the university has been exploring new educational models and has made a series of pioneering initiatives. In response to industry demands and national strategic needs, the school will establish an Additive Manufacturing Engineering Technology major in the fall of 2026 to cultivate high-quality talent for the additive manufacturing field. This deepened cooperation with ENIGMA is an important practice in connecting the education chain, talent chain, and industry chain. Both parties look forward to jointly developing additive manufacturing courses and cultivating additive manufacturing talent through practical training platforms, creating a regional model of industry-education integration.
Deputy General Manager Chi Kemeng introduced ENIGMA's development history to the attendees. She pointed out that since its establishment in 2011, the company has been committed to the additive manufacturing field, being one of the earliest companies globally to invest in the commercialization and research of this technology. It holds a leading global market share, serving over 200 users across key sectors of the national economy, including aerospace, shipbuilding, defense, and petrochemicals. To better serve the industry, ENIGMA established the "Gezhi Academy," spearheading the organization of the first national-level vocational skills competition for arc additive manufacturing equipment operators and a summer camp for public welfare internships in arc additive manufacturing, with the initial goal of providing emerging industries with highly skilled technical personnel. ENIGMA and Nanjing University of Industry Technology share a highly compatible educational philosophy and hope to collaborate to provide a practical training base for students and faculty of the newly established Additive Manufacturing Engineering Technology major. ENIGMA will deeply participate in talent cultivation, offering students project-based training, internships, and employment opportunities. By leveraging industry resources, ENIGMA aims to empower vocational education and fill the industry's talent gap.
In the presence of all attendees, representatives from both parties signed a Supplementary Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between the university and the enterprise. Simultaneously, they unveiled three platforms: a teacher workstation, an off-campus training base, and a student social practice base. This marks a new stage of standardized and substantive implementation for their cooperation.
This signing and unveiling formally establishes a long-term platform for collaborative talent cultivation between the university and the enterprise. ENIGMA will continue to leverage its industry resources, proactively shoulder the social responsibility of cultivating intelligent manufacturing talent, and solidify the foundation of industry talent through joint university-enterprise education, contributing to the long-term development of the high-end manufacturing industry.
