Characteristics
Compared with 304L steel, 316L austenitic stainless steel structure contains about 10% ferrite. Due to the addition of Mo, it improves the corrosion resistance to low chloride ion or salt - containing medium, and resistance to intergranular corrosion. It still has fracture toughness at - 196 °C and the service temperature is as high as 400 °C.
