Definition

CML Hybrid multi-laser coaxial composite technology can realize triple composite technologies including multi-wavelength laser composite, laser arc composite, and wire powder composite. It is suitable for frontier research directions of DED technology such as variable component gradient materials, in-situ alloying additives, high-throughput material preparation, and microstructure regulation. At the same time, it can meet the engineering application requirements of DED technology such as improving the compatibility of additive materials, additive efficiency, component accuracy, performance, and complexity.

Main functions

Multi-wavelength laser coaxial compounding

Six independently controlled laser modules realize multi-wavelength laser coaxial compounding through commonly used combinations such as red and blue laser compounding, which expands the applicable range of materials and improves the absorption rate of highly reflective metal materials such as copper and aluminum, while taking into account economy; the six laser beams can independently adjust parameters and directions, and can achieve a variety of spatial energy distributions within the working range to further meet special process requirements.

Laser arc coaxial compounding

The independently controllable laser arc heat source is used in combination to improve the efficiency of additive manufacturing and component performance; the two processes are used alternately in different areas on the same workpiece, combined with the accuracy of the laser and the efficiency of the arc, which is suitable for the additive manufacturing of large metal components with more complex structures, and achieves overall high efficiency and high quality.

Wire powder coaxial compounding

The combination of wire feeding and 6 completely independent powder feeding paths realizes independently controllable wire-powder feeding and high-degree-of-freedom material ratio adjustment. It can be used for the rapid development of variable component gradient materials, nanoparticle reinforcements and other materials, and meet the high-throughput preparation needs of new material development.
